My dear Pa,
I am rejoiced to hear, by your letter which has just
reached me, of your safe arrival at Albany, and hope that
before this you have got the better of the fatigue and illness
which the journey occasioned: if not, we hope to effect the
remainder of the cure when you arrive here, which I shall
look for daily.
Tonight I go to Mr. Morse’s
a privilege which is granted me by my weak eyes, at the
expense of my studies.
Please excuse the shortness of this, as I am obliged
to improve ^the^ daylight while it lasts.
Your Son
Augustus.
P.S. My regards to Uncle H.
