My dear Uncle,
Allow me to make use of this oppor-
-tunity to ask if you know how soon I may expect
my Father

here: his last letter leaves me in doubt
& says that it depends somewhat upon the letters
he may get from you. If you will be so kind as to
send me word as soon as may be ^convenient^ you will greatly
oblige me as I am laying some plans for spen-
ding the 4th in the country.
Please let me know also the state of my Aunt F.'s
