Goshen July 22d 1840
Dear Henry
We held our County Convention
this day and appointed Stephen St John
Deerpark, Phineas Rumsey
C Hasbrouck
Convention. They are all good men, all of whom
were recommended by myself. We are in fine
spirits & have some hopes of Old Orange, at all
events we think the majority will be small
either way. Our Delegates will want
James Burt
he must have Burt on the ticket.
We are all well
Yours Affectly
Geo. M Grier
NB
Your old Friend Jeffrey Wisner
have even a substitute appointed unless he was known
to be in favor of W H Seward
