My dear Uncle,
In settling some affairs which were matters
between my Father
day that the amounts of $87.85/100 should be added to the amt
which stands charged to B.J.S., as money over-drawn, in the
settlement which we made during the last summary, & which
you agreed with me should remain in "status quoe.": the am't
then was $211.90 & adding the $87.85. makes it $299.75.
I learn from Mr. Patchen
time to make some arrangement with the Proprietors about
the balance unaccounted for & expanded as over drawn cash:
will you have the goodness to inform me whether the arrange-
ment which I have made as administrator is regarded as a final
one, whether the am't just brought to notice can be added to
the am't unaccounted for, or whether the settlement with
my estate depends upon the terms of the agreement between
yourself & the Proprietors.
Please address me at Panama .
Very Respectfully
Your affectionate Nephew
Augustus Seward
His Excellency
