Thursday morning
My dear Henry,
I dated my letter yesterday but made
no further progress— having the headache all day.
I went in the evening to hear Dr Potters
literary convention- I was never more highly gratified
the address was excellent – I felt fully compensated
for the next 14 hours of suffering which the
exertion I made to go cost me – I have not been
able to sit up until this afternoon– You
propose to come for me next week – I should be very
happy to see you here but do not think I can
go to Albany quite so soon – If you visit me
to be in Albany at the time of the extra session
I will come down the week after next – Prof
Bronsons
to lose them – Clara
Albany with me – McClallen
far as Sy Syracuse with us – I think it will
Page

be quite as well for Mr. Underwood
as to come the whole distance – don’t you think so?
I take it for granted that your coming ever that
far is out of the question after the Legislative course
Let me know soon what you think of the plan
I have no letter from Augustus
him as Mr Kinsley's
his report — My head is so dizzy I can with
difficulty see the lines– your own Frances
