My Dear William Henry
I wrote you a few lines by M [hole]
Newburgh on Saturday but was so unwell and fate [hole]
I scarcely know what I said, I will therefore repeat the [hole]
Willard wrote me very anxiously for a loan of $4000 o [hole]
Containing 300 acres of the best Land in Living[ ston ]
belonging to Mr Warren clear of all incumbe[ ncy ]
any personal security in the bond we asked – [hole]
a sum about equal to this that has been many years [hole]
and I wish to keep out if it can be put in indisputable [hole]
prompt hands – But not otherwise of this you are the be [hole]
I should prefer picking out this sum together if you feel [hole]
otherwise I can put it out hear in smaller sums – These [hole]
my present views – Will you state your earnest impressi[ on ]
on this subject and what the future prospect are if [hole]
should have other sums paid in – The fact is I [hole]
had heavy sums out on personal security and th [hole]
of the borrower are getting concessions - This wo[ rry ]
money to be forth coming – I also put into Mr M
a certificate of deposit of deposit from the Newbur[ gh ]
Bank of four hundred Ninety Dollars to your cr [hole]
to pay the balance due on Sherwoods Bond & M [hole]
Thence get those papers regularly assigned & Recorded [hole]
forward them and we will close it up at O [hole]
I think it probable I shall receive some [hole]
available sums shortly But cannot [hole]

[ Sat ] urday who will deliver you this —

[ mo ] ney to bear his expenses to Auburn
