My son Augustus H. Seward has permission to ask
a furlough to visit his parents at the close of the
Examination at the U.S. Military Academy.
William H. Seward
Auburn June 9th 1845
My dear Son. You dont tell us what your Tailors bill will be,
so I cant send a draft. But you may present this also to my friends
Coleman
what money you need. I wish you to go up to Florida by the N.Y. &
Erie Rail Road and pay a short visit to your Grandfather
or two days– Go to Goshen & call at G. M. Grier
way to Florida. Do not omit to see the Weeds as you come up.
