My Dear Augustus,
Your letter to your Mother
4th has been received by her.
Herewith as requested by her I send you a letter of
credit to Messrs Coleman
who will cash your draft on me for said funds as you
need.
We are all looking impatiently for your return home
after so long an absence.
All the family are well. I am on the eve of depar-
ture to Washington but shall probably be at home when
you arrive here. I suppose your mother has told
you that we expect you to accompany us in our excursion
through the great Lakes. It will not do for you therefore
to loiter long by the way after your examination. I hope
however that you will be able to see Mr Weeds
and Frederic
Your son
