pleasure to improve this time to write a few lines
to you but am sorry to say to you that we have
[ bien ]

afflicted with bad colds mumps &
I have bien very much confined to my Room for more
than a month past but think my health improving

better this morning and may we all feel Resigned to
the will of God and most cheerfully say that we
will not murmur at the doing of a Kind providence
under any [ sercumstances ]

ing the choicest of blessing
When I Saw you last I mentioned
some business as I regard Samuels
answer was that it would be favored in your hands
as to arrangement withal &c – I have bien in hopes that
I should have power as it Rests it I should have written
to you sooner but ill health &c has prevented
[hole] also some neglect for which I owe to you an ap-
pology – I see you have much up hill business
in Congress which must most Seriously [ ingage ]
