Dear Uncle,
It is now nearly two
weeks since I was in Washington,
and I have not seen or heard from
you since then, I wrote to Aunty
but as yet I have received no
answer, from this I conclude that
she expects soon to come to Washington.
Doubtless you have heard of the
accident which occured here.
fortunately I was not among the
number of those who fell. I had
a letter from Sarah
said she expected soon to go to
Florida. Fred
weather to make ^his^ garden if it
is as pleasant there as ^it is^ here.

I wish very much to have you
come and see me. for I
want to know if Aunty will
return before July.
I presume Augustus
