Auburn June 26. 1850.
My Dear Uncle,
Mr Blatchford
ago in relation to a loan Mr William Wasson
wished to effect. There has been no answer to his letter
received and I presume that the letter has escaped your
notice or Else has been buried beneath the pile of
letters which is constantly accumulating upon your hands
Mr Wasson desires to know simply, if you will
loan him $3,500 upon 200 acres of real estate which
as he says is worth $25.00 per acre. The money to be
paid to him when he shall have arranged the title
to the satisfaction of Mr Blatchford.
I will send the articles of agreement between
Mr Douglass
Affectionately your nephew
Clarence A Seward
Hon.
William H. Seward
U.S. Senate.
