Thursday morning.
My dear Henry,
I have two kind letters from
you. Lazette
has been very impatient to have her come
I have a dress maker
in addition to house cleaning keeps me
continually occupied – my school taking
three hours of each morning – I have a
mason
tower and a carpenter
Fred
of the caterpillars which threaten to destroy
all the trees and shrubs in the garden –
It is a dull morning – the wind due east
which may be some apology for a dull
short letter – I think Fred is inclined
to go to Canandaigua should you approve
as he there has promise of business after
he is admitted – it would be a great
comfort to have him so near home –
your own
Frances

You say nothing of the picture which was
presented to you – Fred sent you a letter
on the subject – it is a handsome compliment
the person
the city – Lazette admires the picture
very much
