Sunday morning –
My dear Henry
I wish you were here
this fine bright Sunday morning to go
to church with us – I sent a
letter by Polydore
to stop by the way you may
get this first – Polydore & Mary
left here for Chicago Friday
Morning – Yesterday Mr
Gurnee with a son of Mr
Youngs
I have not been very well this
past week – I miss Fred
than I should like he should
know s – I hope he will continue
well – The weather is cool but
pleasant – our garden is very
beautiful – It grieves me that

you and Fred lose the roses-
Lazette
Mrs Gurnee to hear spiritual
communication – they came
home much disgusted with
the incapable medium a girl
from the county of 16 or 17 –
Mrs Hibband
deranged but honest – She
continues subject to convulsive
spasms –
Fanny
alone – We found Clarence
and Carrie
now sitting with Grandpa
reading whenever he wakes
from his sleep to require
it – he is not very well
to day – Gurnee and Adeline
have gone to Aunt Clara’s

for a safe voyage –
I have sent on your letters
and directed the papers
to be sent to you except
the Journal, Tribune & Post –
I would have retained the

thin – Willie’s WSJ face is
swollen with tooth ache –
Lazette is in bed with head ache.
