Ridgebury, June 30th 1851.
My dear Uncle,
I confess that I feel some hesitation
in plying you with questions respecting the Settlement of
my Grandfather’s
that you should communicate voluntarily with me. But
I feel it due to myself & my family
to enquire again,
at the distance of nearly three months from the date of
your answer to my former note, at what time I may
expect a settlement, either in part or in full, with the
Executors?
Very Respectfully,
Your Nephew,
Augustus Seward.
The Honorable
William H. Seward.
Auburn,
N.Y.
