My Dear Henry
I received you invitation
to accompany you to Columbus, My
building matters are in such a state
I could leave them very well in the
hands of the builders, but there is
a lot of hindrance I cannot so easily
dispose off It will not require you
to guess more than once and I
think will be a good excuse in your
own estimation, had the jaunt
come off a week earlier I think
I should have run the risk,
Sarah
I do not feel that I am at liberty
to leave home I have not yet said
any thing to her but will tell her
of your invitation
The building is progressing

After this week it will go forward
faster as I am expecting more masons
Mrs S
my clothes ready and if we think
it will do for me to leave home
as late as Monday morning I shall
go yet. You will therefore see we
are willing
We have been anxious to hear
of Frances
the kindness to tell us, Give her and
your children our
love
Affectionately yours
Geo. W. Seward
