Monday Sep – 16
My dear Son,
We looked for you
yesterday or rather Satur-
day evening though
I think you may have
missed my letter going
to New York – You
learned from Mrs Wharton
Birth: 1812-10-29 Death: 1889-10-09
that Augus Fred
Birth: 1830-07-08 Death: 1915-04-25
and
Anna
Birth: 1834-03-29 Death: 1919-05-02
were here – they
return to Albany to day
Father
Birth: 1801-05-16 Death: 1872-10-10
has I think
relinquished his project
of a foreign tour
for the present –
I am sorry on some
accounts as I fear
his health may be
permanently injured
by remaining here and
working as he has
for the last 10 months
He is more than usually
unwell – still he talks
of going to Michigan
to speak – I soon
expect Caroline Schoolcraft
Birth: 1834-07-25 Death: 1922-02-28
here this week – if
Mr Shoolcraft
Birth: 1804-09-22 Death: 1860-06-07
should
come to the convention
at Syracuse tomorrow –
and Frances
Birth: 1826-12-12 Death: 1909-08-24
I think
will come for a day
or two – I think
Father’s change of purpose
is owing partly to the
advance of the season
and partly to the urgent
remonstration of political
friends – Aunt Clara
Birth: 1793-05-01 Death: 1862-09-05
is
pretty well she talks
a little of going to Washington
with me – no time is
fixed yet – but some
time next month –
Harry Miller was at Aunt
Clara’s yesterday –
Aunty
Birth: 1803-11-01 Death: 1875-10-03
and Fanny
Birth: 1844-12-09 Death: 1866-10-29
send love
God bless you
Mother –
