My dear Mother
I have had so much
to do since you went that I have not
had time to write before. Aunty
Birth: 1803-11-01 Death: 1875-10-03
had
a letter from you yesterday saying that
you had arrived safely of which I was
very glad to hear I was quite sorry
to hear that Fanny
Birth: 1844-12-09 Death: 1866-10-29
had been sick and
hope she is quite well by this time
I suppose that you found the house as
you left it and have got nearly
settled for the winter.
I found it very lonesome after you had
all gone. Things have all
went on about as usal since you left
Thanksgiving day all the Stores shut up
except ours. Barnes
Birth: 1824 Death: 1867
thought that it
would be a good day to work as there
would be no business, I went there
in the morning and told him that I was
not agoing to work that day to which
he said that I could not go I told him
that I did not ask him if I could or
could not go but that I was agoing
and that was all ^that^ was said, in the
afternoon I went down to Mrs Watsons
Birth: 1812-03-30 Death: 1893-11-13
to dinner and after that I went up
to Mr Mc Farlans
Unknown
to supper and al-
together I spent a very pleasant day
of it, and went to work next morning.
I hardly think that I shall stay with
Barnes 3 months but I may do so.
We are all quite well here and all
send there love. Jenny
Birth: 1839-11-18 Death: 1913-11-09
sends her love
and wants to be remembered to Fanny
Your affectionate Son
Will.
