My Dear Brother
In a letter received from
Edwin P.
Birth: 1799 Death: 1872-04-23
a few days since he pro-
posed to secure the Parmalee house
in the village of Florida for us in the
spring.
I declined his kindly offer for the
reason that I did not wish to
to interfere with any plan or ar-
rangement the Executors

have in view for us at that time
To avoid all misapprehension
as to our own views or feelings I
take the liberty of stating that we
intend to leave this place for
Florida when the navigation on
the Ohio river promises a speedy
journey and that we leave the
arrangement as to our location
to the action of the Executors

It will not be deemed an im-
propriety in me further to say
that a house will then become of
indispensable necessity and that we
rely upon the Executors to pro-
vide it for us,
To ensure a greater certainty I shall
send a copy of this letter to the other
Executor,
We are enjoying ourselves in this
hospitable house as much as the
intense cold weather will allows
