My dear Seward,
Tomorrow at noon
I descend upon the sea.
For two months my
address will be care
of J. Monroe & Co,
bankers, Paris ; after-
ward, care of Baring
Brothers, London, who
will forward any thing

to me wherever I may
be. These will be
my two points.
Surely you will
write to me & let
me know how the
great cause moves,
& how you do. I
know Mrs Seward
will. Tell her that
I start my journey
well, & already begin

to experience the inspired
influence of foreign
travel.
Ever yours,
Charles Sumner
I trust the Island
fraud will be un-
masked.
