My dear Will.
I am so
glad you left mr Frink's
for I never liked to have
you there, since I caught
a glimpse of him at the
window. I hope the widow
lady doesn't give you spoilt
meat, nor upset your room
whenever she feels like it.
I should have liked to
have seen that little Goat.
who no doubt would look very
cunning harnessed with Nep
to the wagon, and by the
way Nep s had been missing
for a day or two and night

before last he came home
at one oclock covered with
with mud half starved and
"awfuly" tired. we think he
has been carried away
and came back alone
probably he was kept & tied
over Sunday as his neck
has the marks of a rope
and his lip is badly cut.
Jenny was her Satur-
-day morning.
We have very cold weath-
-er and a great deal of rain.
Father is going to Westfield to-
-day. he was to the take
me with him but it is a
bad day and my face has
begun to swell.
Miss Hance has not come
but we expect her all the
time. Mary Van Wie is
here sewing.

Tom Miller and his
folks did not come on
Saturday as S we expected
them.
The other day we found
a mouse in Lulu's cage
Trip could not catch it
but we found it in the
trap, next morning quite dead.
Wednsday — If father comes back in
time to go with me I think
I shall go to the wedding.
Tomorrow will be mothers
birthday
When shall you be home again
we all want to see you very
much.
This morning I rode Fanny
in the lane she is a little
skittish and thinks the saddle
a very funny affair.
I suppose there is ink some-
where but it is not in this

inkstand.
Write when you can to
