My dear Son
I have your letter
this moment, just as
I was sending a telegram
for John
John went this morning
with Anna
has not been here.
Contrary to my expectation
yesterday, the Dr
Fanny
go to Washington by
Tuesday. She prefers
to go to Washington
and I must go with
her as I cannot
let her go from me
until she is better.
I would like John
to come tomorrow

therefore I send the
telegram – but Monday
will answer if he
cannot come Sunday
Anna will tell
you how very ill Fanny
has been and how
embarrassing our stay
here is. Love to
all. God bless you
Mother.
