Sunday August 25th
My dear Augustus
Your letter came on Thursday
and the box on Friday – for both of which
I am greatly obliged to you – We have
had very warm weather since you were
here and no rain – Jenny
Birth: 1839-11-18 Death: 1913-11-09
& Will
Birth: 1839-06-18 Death: 1920-04-29
& Nelly
Birth: 1862-09-11 Death: 1921-10-05
left home for Long Branch on Wednesday –
Will was expected home back this morning
but I have not heard whether he came –
or not – Eliza’s wedding came off
at the appointed time & was very satis-
factory to all parties – She is now at
housekeeping and seems very happy –
She wants me to thank Father
Birth: 1801-05-16 Death: 1872-10-10
– & you –
for the handsome presents you made
her – The house seems lonely without
her – She has lived there so long, she
seemed a part of the family –
I am glad you keep keep well during
this hot sickly season – which seems
to me to be very long this year –
Most affectionately
Aunty –
