My dear Father,
Mrs Martin
called to see me yesterday,
and requested me to write
and ask you if you would
be kind enough to give Genl
Upton
at Havana, he wishes to have
their letters sent through him,
or by the way of Havana –
Genl & Mrs Upton
leave here on Monday, her
health is somewhat improved.

The wedding passed off very
handsomely, I was not well
enough to go –
We are now enjoying a short
visit from Agustus
intending to spend Sunday
with you, and is now trying to
find Fred
Nelly
kisses –
With much love
Your daughter,
Janet –
