My dear Gus,
I enclose a copy of
letter received a day or two
since —
We are all well, I hope you
have recovered entirely from
the gout – Mrs Pomeroy's
family are getting well —
There is not news here ex-
cepting this from your Brother
and our "Morning Paper" has
failed – Henry
Chesebro
went this morning. It has
Page

been very cold here, but is
now very mild, we have lost
all the snow, and is really
very unpleasant – Will
talking of going to California
in April, if he does he will
not go South. I will write
to you when he decides where
he will go. John Bostwick
has taken a position in the
Bank, while Will goes
away – all send love.
Your affectionate Sister
Janet
