My dear Gus,
Your letter was
received with great pleasure,
two days ago: it found me
here, where we have been
two weeks. It is nearly a
month since we arrived at
home, and I think I never
knew a month to go faster,
Mrs Pomeroy
her children to come up
here
with them as soon as school
was over with, so neither of

us gocould rest quietly as the child-
ren of both families urged the
matter con-tinually, and
it is so beautiful here we are
not very sorry to comply with
their wishes. We wish very often
that you could be here with
us, it is so cool and pleasant
we have had a fire to sit by
for the last four days—
I presume your father
be home by September. I en-
close you a scrap from the Times
perhaps you have not seen it.
This is the second letter of

family home this week, they
are all well. We had a

very delightful journey. Will
is very much better, and is
now as busy as ever, he comes
up here nearly every night.
All the family send love to
you, we shall all be delighted
to see you in September—
Mr Bostwick
but keeps about all the time,
With much love,
Janet Seward
