Biography

Charlotte Biddle West married portrait painter George Washington Conarroe in 1831. They lived in Philadelphia and had 8 children, 3 of whom survived to adulthood. In the letter 1810514LCC_FMS, Cornelia mentions that she "spent a delightful week with Mrs. Conarroe" in Philadelphia. She also mentions in the letter that this is the Miss West of whom Henry may have spoken.
