Reverend Thomas C Reed taught at Union College between 1826 and 1851, professor of "political economy and afterwards of Latin language and literature." After he retired from teaching at Union College, Reed moved to Geneva and became principal of Walnut Hill School. Later in life, he moved to Rochester, NY. After his death in 1883, he was buried in Schenectady with his wife, Elizabeth S. Reed.
