Biography
Possibly found in 18310102WHS_FMS1, WHS visits her and Henrietta. She lives in Camillus, Onondaga, NY in 1850 with her husband Archibald who is the father of Henrietta Kasson Ogden. Also, in 1830 she was living as head of the household in Pompey, Onondaga, NY which makes sense with the context of the letter. She is found again in 18590100FMS_WHS1. "Mrs Kasson" is living entirely alone in Buffalo, and "William has a second wife whom she does not like." Additionally, "Henrietta's children are with Mr Ogden." Piecing together this information, we find that Archy Kasson died a few years earlier, explaining why Mrs. Kasson is living alone and why William, her son, is supporting her. Henrietta is Mrs. Kasson's daughter who also recently passed away, and her children are being cared for by her widower, Mahlon Dickerson Ogden, and his second wife. Ancestry helps sketch this family tree out, but its dates are unreliable - see Find-A-Grave.
