Member of New York state assembly from Chenango County, 1820-22, 1826; Lieutenant Governor of New York, 1833-36. Died in Oxford, Chenango County, N.Y., June 18, 1864 (age 80 years, 236 days). Interment at Riverview Cemetery, Oxford, N.Y.
