Biography

Eliza Christine Horner was born in 1807 in Auburn, New York, the daughter of David and Eliza Horner. Eliza never married but appears to have lived many years with Mary E. Jencks, a schoolteacher, at her home on South Street.



Eliza died in Auburn on October 31, 1876, and is buried at the North Street Cemetery. An epitaph dedicated to her is included on one side of Mary Jencks tombstone.
