Biography
Harriet Sackett was the second wife of Judge Garry V. Sackett. Harriet and Garry had atleast one child, John Sackett. They lived at Seneca Falls, N.Y.. Harriet was the daughter of Captain John Haigh who served in the British army. Her father was captured during the American Revolution at Saratoga. Harriet died March 18, 1851.
On one occasion William Henry Seward took Fred and Clarence Seward to Seneca Falls on a sleigh and was stranded there. They stayed overnight with the Sacketts, and borrowed the Sackett's wagon to return to Auburn. (FMS to AHS, December 29, 1846)
