Biography

The eldest child of Rev William Lucas and his wife Phebe Lord. She is mentioned in 18390901FMS_LMW in which Frances is talking about Mary Jane's dad dying. Mary Jane would later marry a man named Robert Reade in 1845 whom she traveled with extensively abroad. Married 4/22 or 26, 1845. Their daughter Mary married a Viscount in England and became Mary Cary. Another daughter, Katherine Livinston, married an English governor, and their son Robert became a lawyer in New York. Robert died suddenly in Paris in 1864.
