Biography
Thomas Howe was from Auburn N.Y. and was greatly involved in the town. He was a lawyer, a newspaper editor, and involved in the railroad industry. He was the inspector of Auburn Prison for four years (1834-1838). He was elected as a Democrat to the Thirty-second Congress (March 4, 1851-March 3, 1853). He later served as the mayor of Auburn, N.Y. starting in 1853. He died in Auburn, N.Y., July 15, 1860.
