Biography
Elizabeth I was the daughter of King Henry the 8th and Anne Boleyn. She was imprisoned by her half-sister Mary. She became Queen of England in 1558. In 1588 the English defeated the Spanish Armada while she was Queen. One of her first actions as Queen was to establish an English Protestant church.She had her rival Mary, Queen of Scots, imprisoned and executed. She never married or had children.
