She was one of the daughters of Mary Eleanor and EPS. She appears in a 1861 letter as EPS explained to FMS that Louisa Cornelia "is taking music lessons at Miss Hotchkiss's school at Florida." On 1 January 1873, when she was 22, she married Samuel Beriah Hotchkin at Florida, NY. She had three children with Samuel: Edwin, Clara, and McLeod. During some time after 1880, she must have moved to Kansas because she is buried there in the Union Cemetery, at Winfield KS. Her two sons and husband are all buried in the same cemetery as her.
