A character from a tale Henry narrates to Frances in an 1833 European travel letter. Sibo de Lorch refused hospitality to a stranger (which went against chivalry) and as punishment, his daughter, Garlinde, was kidnapped and held on a mountain for years. She was eventually saved by Ruthelm whom she married with Sibo's blessing.
