Biography

John Allen Campbell was born in Salem, Ohio. He served in the Union Army during the Civil War. In 1869 President Grant appointed him Governor of the newly organized Wyoming Territory. Campbell married Isabella nee Wunderly. He and Isabella had one child, Isabella, born April 14, 1873. John Allen Campbell died in Washington, D.C. on July 14, 1880.
