Biography
Adeline Jerusha is the daughter of Harmon Pumpelly and his first wife Delphine Drake (he was remarried to Maria Brinkehof in 1841). Adeline married James Kidd in Albany on May 13, 1874. Her and James lived in Albany, but also had a summer home at Lake Luzerne in Warren County, where she spent a fair amount of time. She was known for having one of the leading salons in Albany that attracted people of note and refinement. She was an impressive woman who traveled to Europe several times and was entertained by "many of the most eminent of the nobility and great statesmen." It does not appear that the couple had any children.
