While the Ancestry website citation of this baby has no sources, the birth date was checked against a letter from Frances Miller Seward to Lazette Miller Worden on May 21, 1845, in which Frances says that Mrs. George Underwood (Charlotte Underwood) has a son (meaning she gave birth to a boy). Furthermore, in a different letter from Frances Worden Chesebro to Lazette Miller Worden on September 1, 1845, Frances Chesebro says that she went to visit the UNderwoods and saw their new baby. Furthermore, while the death date might not be exact, baby George Underwood definitely died at a young age due to later family records not showing him to adulthood as well as the Underwoods having another son named George in the 50's.
