Biography
He was the proprietor of the National Hotel in Washington, D.C. where notable politicians stayed. The correspondence from James A. Polk explains that the National Hotel was often referred to as Coleman's Hotel. WHS stayed in Coleman's hotel sometime between 1848 to 1849 when he served as senator. While Coleman's name has been identified in several sources, we currently cannot find any info on his DOB or DOD.
