Biography

Colonel Thomas Staniford was born in Connecticut in 1788. He married Jane (nee Patterson) in about 1816 in Plattsburgh. He served in the 8th Regiment of the Infantry, until February 3, 1852, when he was promoted to Colonel of the Third Regiment of the Infantry. He died in 1855 in Maryland.
