Biography

Count Joseph Alexander Hubner was an Austrian diplomat and statesman. During the 1848 revolutions in Europe he was held hostage in Milan. In 1848, he supervised the Emperor's fiight from Vienna, Austria. He later became minister of police, a position from which he held from August - October 1859, and served as the Austrian minister to France from 1849 — 1860.
