Auburn Aug 21st –
My dear Son,
I believe it is two weeks to day
since I wrote last and about a
week since I received your answer
to my letter –Cousin Frances
Birth: 1826-12-12 Death: 1909-08-24

at the time expected and remained
nine days, with little Frank

who is a very intelligent child –
he runs all about and tries to talk,
says some words distinctly & seems to
understand most that is said to him –

his health has improved – last Thursday
Frances went to Canandaigua – the
next day they were to go to Canada
to visit a sister of Henry’s – Frances
to stay about two weeks – Henry leaving
her there – I have not heard from
them since but presume they went –
