My dear Son,
I was just beginning to think
it was time to have a letter from you
when yours came this morning– I am
sorry you give us no promise of a
visit Christmas or New Years– I cannot
yet fix on any time when I shall go
to Washington – I am in no hurry &
shall persuade Aunty

has been three or four days in Washington.
His vessel was finished and sent
on to Key West – He was detained
waiting for remittances from Washington.
