Biography
Graduated from Yale in 1827, soon after moved to Auburn, NY. He became a student in the law office of WHS, and they became law partners, which continued until Beardsley found himself permanently in finance and business. In 1840 he was chosen president of the Cayuga County Bank (later Cayuga County National Bank), which he had helped to establish in 1833. He served as president for fifty years. In 1848, he was one of the incorporators of the Oswego Starch factory, becoming president of it in 1883. In 1849, he was one of the original trustees of the Auburn Savings Bank, and in 1864 became one of the incorporators of the First National Bank of Auburn. Died with a l
