Charlotte Connelly was part of the Seward household staff. She is found in 18600314FMS_WSJ, "Charlotte Conway wishes me to ask you to see Mr Mungar & obtain from him receipts for the money due for the house and lot." Frances misspells Charlotte's last name as either "Connay" or "Conway" - she probably didn't know Charlotte's last name for sure and made it up. Either way, Charlotte Connelly was definitely part of the Seward household as seen by the 1860 US Census (link below).
