Brigadier-Major in the War of 1812, Admitted to the bar of Orange County in 1811, entered in partnership with William Ross, and later was senior member of the firm of Bate and McKissock. Elected County Judge in 1847. First Wife Harriet M. Isaacs. Second wife was Mrs. Polhamus. No children.
